Storm Reid, born on July 1, 2003, is a talented actress from the United States. She has showcased her acting skills in various projects throughout her career.

Initially, she appeared in the television show A Cross to Bear (2012), followed by notable roles in the drama film 12 Years a Slave (2013) and the superhero film Sleight (2016).

Her exceptional portrayal of Meg Murry in the fantasy film A Wrinkle in Time (2018) earned her nominations for prestigious awards such as the Teen Choice Award and NAACP Image Award.

Early Life

Reid came into this world on July 1, 2003, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Rodney and Robyn Simpson Reid.

She happens to be the youngest among her four siblings, namely her brother Josh and two sisters, Iman and Paris.

Right from her early years, Reid had a strong desire to become an actress, and when she turned 9, she and her family relocated to Los Angeles so that she could chase her acting dreams.

Career

Reid embarked on her professional acting journey at a tender age, making her debut in the television film A Cross To Bear in 2012.

The following year, she took on the role of Emily in the critically acclaimed historical drama film 12 Years a Slave.

In 2016, she portrayed Tina, the younger sister of the protagonist, in the successful science fiction drama film Sleight.

This film was well-received by both audiences and critics alike.

Additionally, in the same year, she starred as Aki in Lea to the Rescue, a part of the American Girl film series.

In 2017, Reid appeared as Patricia in the comedy-drama film A Happening of Monumental Proportions, which received negative reviews from critics.

However, her portrayal of Meg Murry in Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time, based on the novel of the same name, was highly praised.

Despite the film’s lackluster performance at the box office, Reid’s performance stood out, with critics commending her interpretation of the character.
