Early Life and Education
Perdomo, born on 19 October 1996 in Los Angeles, California, relocated to Southampton, Hampshire, England, during his childhood with his mother.
He possessed both British and American citizenship and had Latino ancestry from his mother’s side.
Perdomo’s educational journey began at Redbridge Community School, where he held the position of head boy and discovered his passion for theatre.
He later attended Peter Symonds College in Winchester, where he was elected as the president of the student union in the sixth form.
Initially planning to pursue a career in law after completing his studies, Perdomo ultimately decided to follow his passion for acting.
He moved to London, utilizing the earnings from his employment at a shoe shop and a cinema, and joined the National Youth Theatre.
Additionally, he received training at the Identity School of Acting.
Career
Perdomo’s first appearance on television was in the third series of the CBBC adaptation of Hetty Feather in 2017, where he played the recurring character Henry Goodall.
Following this, he took on the lead role of Jerome in the BBC Three drama film Killed by My Debt in 2018.
His performance in the film earned him a nomination for the British Academy Television Award for Best Actor.
In February 2018, it was announced that Perdomo had been cast as Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Prior to this, he had auditioned for the role of Jughead Jones on Riverdale, but the part was ultimately given to Cole Sprouse.
However, Perdomo’s audition for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina impressed series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa so much that he specifically wrote the role of Ambrose with Perdomo in mind.
In 2019, Perdomo was recognized as a Screen International Star of Tomorrow and a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit.
Perdomo made his debut in feature films with the role of Landon Gibson in After We Fell (2021), the third installment of the After film series.
He reprised his role as Landon in the subsequent two films, After Ever Happy (2022) and After Everything (2023).
Additionally, he provided the voice for Snork in the third season of the Finnish television series Moominvalley.
His final television role was as Andre Anderson in Gen V, a spinoff of the superhero series The Boys set to release in 2023.
Unfortunately, production of the second season was indefinitely delayed following Perdomo’s death.
Death
Perdomo died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27. Local authorities confirmed that Perdomo was the sole individual involved in the accident.
It is believed the accident occurred late on 29 March or early 30 March 2024 while Perdomo was travelling through Upstate New York enroute to Toronto to begin filming for season 2 of Gen V.
