Snapchat Launches Affiliate Program For Creators To Drive Ad More Sales

‎ ‎

Snapchat’s looking to boost its ad business, while also providing a new way for creators and publishers to earn money in the app, with the launch of its new “Snapchat Affiliate Program,” which will enable creators to earn rewards for each qualified advertiser that they refer to Snapchat.

As explained in the video, Snapchat’s new affiliate program will pay you a commission for referring other brands to Snap ads.

As explained by SnapChat Company:

As a Snapchat affiliate, you’ll earn a competitive commission for each new advertiser you sign up on Snapchat ads. You’ll start earning when you refer qualified advertisers to Snapchat ads, and along the way we’ll provide resources for your success, like approved assets marketing guides and more.”

So Snap gets more ad business, and you get the opportunity to share your Snapchat expertise, in order to help others advertise in the app.

The program will be powered by PartnerStack, which will track the relative ad spend and commission rates for referrals in the app.

As you can see in this overview, referrals will sign up through a unique link that will attribute that referral to you. And if they activate a Snap ad campaign within 90 days, you’ll get a commission payment for that referral.

It’s another way for Snap to grow its ad business, while also offering a means for creators and marketers to showcase their Snap ads knowledge, and boost awareness of Snap’s value as an ad platform.

Which, of course, will be relative to your brand and audience, but there is clear value in Snap promotions for a wide range of businesses.

Snap’s been making SMBs a bigger focus of its ads push, as it looks to boost its business value, and capitalize on its opportunities. Yet, those opportunities are being limited by stagnant growth in its key usage markets (U.S. and Europe). As a result, Snapchat has had to double down on the audience that it has, as opposed to expanding into more areas, which is why this could be a particularly valuable initiative in helping to drive more revenue intake.

Incentivizing an army of creators to advocate for Snap ads could be another revenue driver in this respect.
