She has gained significant recognition for her portrayals of Cerie in the NBC sitcom 30 Rock (2006–2013) and Flo Fulton in the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful (2019–2021). Early Life and Career
Bowden grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
In 2006, Bowden secured her first acting role on the popular daytime soap opera One Life to Live, appearing in a two-episode arc as Britney. She went on to make guest appearances on shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Ugly Betty. However, her breakthrough came when she landed a recurring role on the critically acclaimed television series 30 Rock, which premiered on NBC in October 2006. In the show, she portrayed the attractive receptionist Cerie and received widespread recognition for her performance. The cast of 30 Rock received numerous Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, with one win. Bowden became a regular cast member starting from the show’s second season in 2007 and remained with the series until its finale in January 2013.
Bowden has also appeared in several music videos, including Fall Out Boy’s “Dance, Dance,” We Are Scientists’ “After Hours,” and Panic! at the Disco’s “Miss Jackson.”
In 2008, Bowden made her film debut in the comedy film Sex Drive, produced by Summit Entertainment and released in theaters on October 17, 2008. The following year, she starred in two low-budget straight-to-DVD projects, The Shortcut and Ratko: The Dictator’s Son. In 2010, Bowden gained critical acclaim for her role in the horror-comedy film Tucker & Dale vs Evil, where she played the character Allison. The film had a limited release but performed well, grossing over $4,749,516. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and holds a ‘fresh’ rating of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
In April of 2011, Bowden was named Esquire Magazine’s Sexiest Woman Alive. She was also featured in the Jordache television campaign that debuted in September of the same year. Universal Pictures revealed in April 2011 that Bowden had been chosen to play the character of Mia, described as an “L.A. party girl type” and the girlfriend of Chris Klein’s character, in the fourth installment of the American Pie film series, American Reunion. The movie premiered on April 5, 2012, receiving mixed reviews but achieving financial success. Bowden also appeared in the horror films Piranha 3DD and Hold Your Breath in 2012, with the former being criticized by reviewers. She co-starred in Nurse 3D in 2013. In 2018, Bowden took on the lead role in the Hallmark Channel film Love on the Slopes as part of the Winterfest event. She starred in Great White, an Australian survival horror film released in 2021, where the crew of a stranded seaplane is surrounded by two great white sharks.
