“I’m working on it” – BBNaija’s Tacha speaks on contesting for political office

 

Reality TV star and media personality Anita Natasha Akide, better known as Tacha, has revealed plans to enter politics, citing the underutilized potential of her home state, Rivers.

In a recent sit-down with Ebuka, the former BBNaija housemate voiced her frustration over the state’s lack of progress, especially when compared to cities like Lagos and Abuja.

“When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing,” she said.

“There are so many youths, so many talents there—so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen.”

Tacha stressed the importance of youth participation in politics, saying real change requires being part of the system rather than criticizing from the sidelines.

When asked directly about running for office, she confirmed she’s working on a political project, but won’t reveal details until it’s nearing completion:

“It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.”

In addition to her political ambitions, Tacha also announced plans to attempt a Guinness World Record by doing makeup for 150 people in 24 hours.
