“I have a deep connection with this club” – Victor Osimhen Explains Why He Fought Hard to Return to Galatasaray

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has opened up on why he pushed hard for a permanent move back to Galatasaray, following his historic transfer from Napoli to the Turkish giants for €75 million — a record-breaking deal in Turkish football.
Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at the Super Lig champions, arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday night to a warm welcome from fans at Ataturk Airport. His official signing ceremony is scheduled to take place at Rams Park before Galatasaray’s clash against Lazio on Saturday.
In an interview with GSTV, the 26-year-old revealed that his desire to return was driven by a strong emotional bond with the club and its supporters:
“I have a deep connection with this club, this city, these people. That’s why I fought so hard to return here.”
Reflecting on his journey and what lies ahead, Osimhen added:
“I continue to have that feeling — to keep playing with a purpose. I want to do what’s best for myself and the fans, and I’m really happy to be here.”
Osimhen’s return to Galatasaray marks a significant moment in both his career and the club’s ambitions, as he looks to build on his success and lead the team to further glory in the Turkish Super Lig and European competitions.
