Aderounmu gained recognition for her role as “Yejide” in Tunde Kelani’s 2014 film Dazzling Mirage, where she starred alongside Kunle Afolayan, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Seun Akindele, and others.
Additionally, she portrayed the main character, Jummy Adams, in Toyin Abraham’s 2013 blockbuster film Alakada 2, sharing the screen with comedian Helen Paul, Odunlade Adekola, Bukky Wright, and more.
Early Life and Education
Adejumoke was born on 26 March in the 80s at The Sacred Heart Hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. She comes from a family of five.
Aderounmu attended St Banerdettes private schools in Ibara Abeokuta and Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School in Onikolobo Abeokuta.
She then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree in international relations from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun State.
After completing her degree, she served one year of national service in Gombe state.
In 2017, Aderounmu received certification in Film Making and Acting from La Cinefabrique multimedia Cine in Lyon, France.
She was awarded a Ford Foundation scholarship at the Africa International Film Festival after completing a DSLR Film Making Training for Young Nigerian Film Makers in 2016.
Aderounmu’s professional acting career began in 2008 when she auditioned for Tunde Kelani’s movie, Arugba.
In the film, she portrayed the role of Princess Mobandele alongside actors such as Bukky Wright, Bukola Awoyemi, Segun Adefila, and more.

Adejumoke rose to fame in 2016 for her portrayal of Esther (small but mighty) in the popular comedy TV series called Jenifa’s Diary.
With a filmography of over 10 movies in both English and Yoruba languages, Adejumoke Aderounmu has established herself as a versatile actress.
In addition to her acting career, she also served as an on-air personality at Goldmyne Entertainment Presenter for the Box Office TV show hosted by Daniel Ademinokan from 2010 to 2011.
Following this, she joined Concert Radio, an online Radio station in Nigeria, where she worked until 2015. In 2012, Adejumoke ventured into producing her own TV show, The Lounge with Jumoke, which featured celebrity interviews and fashion discussions.
